The Mothers' Center of Suffolk is a non-profit organization of mothers supporting and encouraging other mothers.  Our membership is open to all mothers, regardless of race, creed, religion, or nationality.  We offer discussion groups and lectures led by members and area professionals as well as Mom and Me programs that are open to nonmembers. 

Peer support/discussion groups are guided by peer mothers who are trained at the Mothers' Center under the supervision of a certified social worker.  Workshops are led by professionals in the fields of physical and mental health and education.  Childcare (for children nine months of age and older) is provided while all groups, workshops, lectures and meetings are in session unless otherwise noted.

In order to attend our groups, workshops and lectures, you must be a Mothers' Center member, although our Mom and Me programs are open to nonmembers.  Membership is $45 per year.  Fees for the various programs are used to cover our costs (rent, childcare, insurance, etc.).  In case of financial hardship, please contact the office to discuss alternate payment plans.

New members are required to complete one New Members Orientation group before taking any other groups.  Lectures, workshops and Mom and Me may be taken concurrently with the New Members group.

REFUND POLICY:   A full refund will be given if the MC cancels a class.  Should you, as a member, cancel within 48 hours after open house you will receive a credit (NO REFUNDS).  If you decide to cancel after 48 hours of open house, no credit or refund will be given.  Members must submit all requests for an exception in writing to Steering to be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
